JD Sports Fashion plc, more commonly known as JD Sports, has partnered with Maintel, to deliver a future proofed SD-WAN enabled solution for its European wide store network.
The SD-WAN solution will enable JD Sports to improve performance with dynamic prioritisation of store and distribution centre applications as well as being able to quickly and effectively roll out new stores and services - whilst leveraging the widest range of underlay technologies. It will also help the company to enhance its omnichannel offering and personalise the customer experience by providing real in-store theatre.
JD Sports had previously engaged Maintel to upgrade its unified communications infrastructure due to increased capacity requirements and an ever-expanding store network, with a number of new store premises and acquisitions needing to be fully integrated into its network.
The SD-WAN solution provides for a software defined approach to managing JD Sports wide area networks, offering ease of deployment, centralised orchestration and improved visibility, ultimately helping improve connectivity to their stores, data centres and the cloud.
