The challenge
HCA Healthcare had several challenges that led to this project. Their challenges were:
- Escalating usage: for both voice and data, heavy users were over spending on the existing tariff
- Lack of control: management of this estate had got out of control with HCA Healthcare aware that they were paying for unused connections but unsure how many
- Lack of inventory management: HCA were unaware of what numbers were allocated to which users. Often a new connection would be taken out rather than risk disconnecting an existing user and reallocating their number. This resulted in incorrect allocation of mobile charges to the correct cost centres.
